Having owned a sportsfisher before, we wanted to cruise further afield so we started looking at sailing catamarans. We looked at many different models and brands but the standout feature of the Leopard 48, for us, was the forward seating area.
We placed the order for our leopard and visited the factory a few times to see the building progress. We took delivery of the boat in Cape Town and that’s when our lives changed. The plan was never to venture as far as we have but we couldn’t have planned it better if we tried. Since owning our Leopard, we have sailed over 40,000 nautical miles, visited 25 countries and made countless memories. We have come to love the boat, she has kept us safe, and she always outperforms herself.
She has been our labour of love since we’ve owned her, she truly is our home. That’s why it was so difficult to make the decision to put her up for sale. New Beginnings has given us the world, now it is someone else’s turn."
